Brain Memory Capacity

Memory Development Techniques
Science has developed by leaps and bounds lately and almost all forms of science have become very advanced because of the research and develop being conducted in their respective fields. The only science which is still under great controversy in the science based on the brains power, the mental domain and the memory speculation which is other wise called as neurosciences or neuropsychology.
Mind is an amazing thing conceptualized by god. Its power and capacity knows no boundaries and man is yet to tap this power fully. It is said that man only uses a fragment of his mental capacity. Researches are always been done to increase this power or in the field of memory development. Memories are recorded events in the mental domain it is just like the computer encoding. Everything that happens is recorded in the brain and whenever need the information is retrieved.
But how is it that we can retrieve only certain events or information and not all what we see? All the sensory organs work together when we perceive something. For example let us we are in a pizza corner and placed before us is a beautifully decorated and mouth watering pizza. Our eyes see it, mouth tastes and we feel the texture too. This experience while eating a pizza is recorded in the memory. When you go back home you explain about the whole incident with every minute details as if you had a photographic memory.
How could you do this, when you even forget what you ate for dinner last night? Your full attention and all your sensory organs were focused on the pizza and so it was easy to retrieve the data stored, but last night your full focus and attention was on T.V rather than the food you ate. So memory encoding and retrieval highly depends on the attention it is given. In many cases trauma, accidents or depression might cause temporary memory loss which mostly is curable. Memory plays a vital role in the overall development of a person. His intelligence is judged by his memory retention capacity.
Without memory nobody can function normally because it creates an identity. Memory capacity thus depends on the attention and the sensory perceptions. People suffering from memory loss are thus given methods or exercises for memory development. Students usually forget things easily before of the attention deficit as they are distracted by so many other things. When they know the memory development techniques then they can memorize and study much better. Usually children easily remember things which they like, so it is natural that they don’t give a damn about things or subjects which they hate.
Memory development is a new concept these days and everyone wants a sharper memory. No doubt many new age gurus and institutions have already cashed in on this sudden demand. When you open the paper or browse through the internet there are so many sites and ads which allure people of high mental power and strong memory development courses and techniques. People who are really affected because of memory loss are mostly students and elderly people.
Everyone possesses a memory capacity and even overloaded this capacity might also be cause for memory loss. But then human beings cannot remember almost everything around them. Then there will only be chaos and confusion. Many people will always be depressed or will be affected by anxiety. It is good to forget at least the bad things in life. Leave alone this life what will happen if we were to remember and have memories of all our past lives if at all it is true. What a great confusion it will and nearly all human being will definitely become insane.
Thus memory development should be focused to increase the general working capacity to aid our normal functioning. Students weak in studies can use this memory development tools to enhance their capacity. Even elderly people or business associates can learn this memory development to brush up and know how exactly they can remember imperative things that needs to be stored as memory. Actually positive people learn from their memories. Therefore memory development should lead to human advancement and better functioning rather than for any other reason.

What Is A Memory Reader

A 2009 Comparison Of The Amazon Kindle 2 Vs Sony Reader Prs-700
The Amazon Kindle 2 and the Sony Reader PRS-700 are two of the hottest ebook readers to hit the market in the past 12 months, bringing reading pleasure to an entirely new level. For those who are new to ebook reading devices and are interested in getting one, here’s a comparison of the Amazon Kindle 2 vs. Sony Reader and how they match up against each other.
Price
The price of any gadget is a big factor for many individuals especially for first-time buyers. The Amazon Kindle 2 is currently priced at $359, while the Sony Reader is currently pegged at $399, making the Kindle 2 cheaper by $40.
Size and Weight
The size and weight of these gadgets don’t really give one distinct advantage over the other. The Sony Reader PRS-700 weighs around 10 oz., the Kindle 2 just slightly over that. The Sony Reader is a bit wider and thicker, while the Kindle is a couple inches longer. In any case, both are very convenient to carry around.
Display
The two reading devices both use e-ink technology which creates a display that is very similar to text on paper, eliminating eye strain, and providing an easy read with crisp, clear text and images. The Amazon Kindle 2009 however, is now enhanced with 16 shades of gray, while the Sony Reader has an 8-level gray scale.
Wireless Capabilities
Here is a category where the Sony Reader is clearly bested by the Kindle. The Amazon Kindle 2nd generation makes use of the Whispernet technology, providing free wireless coverage in the US via Sprint’s 3G high-speed network. Kindle users can gain access to over 240,000 book titles, magazines, newspapers, and even blogs. By just choosing the reading content of choice and paying for it, the book or magazine will be downloaded to the Kindle anytime, anywhere within minutes! The Sony Reader PRS-700 on the other hand, still lacks this wireless capability, and with only less than 100,000 books to choose from, it does not even come close to the breadth of content that the Kindle offers.
Formats Supported
Both electronic book readers support most commonly used formats such as TXT, MP3, JPEG, GIF, PNG, and BMP, plus some formats unique to each device. The Sony Reader however, supports PDF while the Kindle 2 does not – not directly, anyway. PDFs still need to be emailed to Kindle’s support desk to be converted for viewing on the Kindle and Amazon has gives an advance notice that “some complex PDF files may not format correctly” on the Kindle.
Storage Capacity
In this feature, the Sony Reader gains the clear upper hand. True, the Amazon Kindle 2 has 2G of internal memory of which 1.4g is available for content and can hold up to 1,500 books, but it no longer supports external memory cards. While the Sony Reader’s 256mb internal memory may seem like peanuts compared to the Kindle, the main advantage actually lies in the Sony’s ability to support up to 16G of external memory. Now that’s a great benefit not only when it comes to holding thousands of content should one need it, but also for managing files into different memory cards.
Battery Life and Charge Time
The two ebook readers have the same capacity when it comes to battery life. On a fully charged Kindle 2 or Sony Reader, one can read straight for two weeks without needing a recharge. The only difference is that if the Kindle 2 is used with the wireless turned on, the battery capacity is reduced to just four days. Charging time for both readers is four hours via USB, or two hours using an AC wall charger.
The Bottom Line 2009 Comparison of the Amazon Kindle 2 vs Sony eBook Reader:
Although it’s not a total knock out for the Kindle over the Sony Reader, it’s close! The Amazon Kindle 2 remains the better ebook reader hands-down. The price, breadth of content, wireless capabilities, and overall design improvements of the Amazon Kindle 2nd generation makes it a clear winner over the Sony Reader 700.

Memory Exercises Games

is there anyway to exercise your mind?
I forget a lot of things like I go to the living room to get something and forget what things like that is there any game or something that will exercises my memory
omg! I felt the same way at the begining of the school year!! It was awful, once my sister came to my work to pick up my keys in the morning and in the afternoon, when i was going home, I looked for my keys everywhere, i just couldnt remember that i had given them to my sister. I struggled a lot and there are several things you can do:
1. Eat right, sometimes if you are not eating the right food, your body becomes week and that affects your brain. Make sure you have enough protein everyday.. dont remember why but protein is a must
2. Make sure you are hidrated. water helps your brain to function properly.
3. take flax seeds, or flax oil.. or fish oil. this has omega 3 and its really good for the brain. it makes you really smart. you get the pills at any foodstore for like $5
4. make sure you are getting enough sleep. at least 6 hours. its crucial
5. Meditate. It really helps your brain organize your thoughts and just relax.. all you have to do is sit on a quiet room with no music, no distractons. just close your eyes and concendrate on your breathing for 10 minutes..It is so great. i do it all the time.
6. Do things taht stimulate your brain, like callenge yourself to draw something, or write poems, or come up with a song.
7. Keep stuff written in a book, so you dont remember. Once you keep everyting writen down it becomes automatic and you eventually stop needing the book.
those are all I could think about. I hope i helped a little!

Memory Company Santa 2009

Life Lessons From Rudolph: Six Ways Lovable Misfits Can Leverage Their Own “red Nose” for a More Fulfilling 2009
By Robin Fisher Roffer
We all know the story. We’ve watched the classic movie over and over and had the cheery song stuck in our heads for days. (You’re hearing it now, aren’t you?) We’ve cheered on the plucky red-nosed reindeer and his companion Hermey, the determined elf with dental school dreams. Even as adults, we’ve delighted in the snowy North Pole scenes, shuddered at the Abominable Snowman, and rejoiced at our unlikely hero’s happy ending. But few of us have really pondered the meaning behind this little fable: that a fulfilling life means being yourself—(symbolic) glowing red nose and all.
There’s never been a better time to march to the beat of that proverbial “different drummer” who makes you you. And if you take a lesson from the most famous reindeer of all, you can make 2009 the year you turn your unique qualities to your advantage.
While Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer was made in 1964, its theme—that embracing your uniqueness pays off—is even truer today. In a global world where businesses (and employees) face a literal world of competition, where people meet their spouses via Internet dating services, and where everyone from hot celebrities to your Uncle Fred have MySpace accounts, fearlessly being yourself is the only way to distinguish yourself from the teeming masses.
Here’s how Rudolph and his pals channeled their own “fearless fish” to save the day on that foggy Christmas Eve—and how you, allegorically at least, can do the same in 2009.
Let your nose shine bright. Once it became apparent that Rudolph wasn’t like the rest of his peers, his well-meaning father devised a way to help him “fit in.” The mud-covered nose didn’t last for long, and when his true self shone through, the other reindeer immediately excluded him from the reindeer games. On the other hand, the pretty little doe Clarice told him his red nose was “much better than that false one you were wearing.” The point? Playing an “acceptable” role never works—at least not for long.
When you aren’t authentic, it shows. Instead of fitting in, you come across as dishonest and untrustworthy. Don’t downplay your ethnic background, or try to hide the fact that you’re gay, or maybe a country music fan in an office full of hip-hop listeners. Give the world a fearless representation of who you are and let the chips fall where they may. Chances are they’ll fall in your favor.
Don’t just longingly read your dentist book. Grab your (metaphorical) drill and get to work. Hermey is an elf. At the North Pole. Of course he should make toys, right? Wrong! Hermey wanted to be a dentist instead, and in the end, he found the initiative to pursue his dream. Taking the first step toward big life changes, especially those that go against the grain can seem overwhelming. But as fearless fish we see the need for those changes and we take a flying leap instead.
We all have dreams that we have been too scared to fulfill in our lives. Perhaps it’s a new career path, or finally going back to school. Or maybe you are living in a city that just doesn’t work for you. Make this the year that you finally change those things. You will be amazed at how many other things begin to fall into place in your life once you allow yourself to pursue the things that really make you happy.
Seek out your own Hermey and make friends. On the surface it may seem like a red-nosed reindeer and an elf who wants to be a dentist may not have all that much in common. However, it was Rudolph’s misfit mantra and Hermey’s outcast status that bound them together and helped them become an unstoppable force. Likewise if you’re a “fish out of water,” you should align yourself with others who are different or special in their own ways.
It’s important to find others that you can count on as allies and friends in your quest for success. No, you don’t need to hold out for a coworker pal who is also an immigrant from China—that’s probably unrealistic. But you might join forces with, say, another maverick who is trying to lead the charge for dynamic change within the company.
Find a boss like Santa. No one is suggesting that you find a job in a toy shop, or seek out a jolly leader in a red suit. Rather, seek out leaders or influential colleagues with the insight to recognize what you bring to the table. Santa used Rudolph’s difference to make him a great leader for his team. This is the type of person to look for in your organization who can help take you to the top.
Look for individuals who are creative and open-minded and put yourself in their path. These are the people who will champion your ideas and talents when the time is right. Rudolph was given the chance to save Christmas because he had a leader who could appreciate his unique talent. If you have been laid off, use this opportunity to make your next job one with the right kind of leadership. Your moment could be right around the corner—it just takes having the right people to help get you there.
Help the misfit toys in your own life. Rudolph and Hermey use their alliance with one another to overcome the odds and achieve their own happy endings. It would be easy to assume that the story stops there, right? Not for fearless fish. Just like Rudolph uses his influence with Santa to help the misfit toys find happy homes, you must advocate for others who need a helping hand.
Once you have begun to find your own way, use the leverage you have achieved to help others on their journey. After all, you were one of them at some point and it’s important to maintain the mentoring cycle. It’s not just a nice thing to do for someone else; it’s a catalyst for continued growth and positive energy for yourself, too.
Make sure you’ll go down in history. It may seem obvious, but the things that make you unique are of any good to you only if you use them. It’s easy to see the things that make you different as what keeps you outside the group at large. In reality, they are your own secret weapons. If Rudolph hadn’t used his nose to guide the sleigh through the fog, he would still just be an outsider to the reindeer community. Instead, he winds up the hero.
Being a fearless fish out of water means believing that you are not just taking up space but that your contributions are valuable. Cultivating this kind of confidence from deep inside of you will spur you forward more than anything else in life. So don’t apologize for who you are and what makes you different. Be bold, be creative, and put yourself out there. People who are different are often the ones who can make the biggest difference.
Of course, “be yourself” hardly seems like the kind of cutting-edge advice to build a life-changing New Year’s Resolution around. After all, everyone’s mother has said it a hundred times. But if you’re honest, you’ll admit that those two tiny words are tough to put into action. And that’s precisely why they’re so powerful.
So many people are terrified to be themselves. So when you decide to cut that inner rebel loose, well, people notice. They pay attention. And if you’ve always been the “hide your light under a bushel” type, attracting attention may be the best thing that ever happened to you. Be who you are, and just like our favorite holiday hero, you will be happy too. And that’s the only ending to your story that matters.

Mixing Memory Speeds Ddr3
Radical Motherboards
PCs are phenomenally flexible, configurable devices. That’s kinda why we love ‘em so much. But there are limits to what you can achieve. And most of those are defined by your choice of motherboard, all of which means clarity of purpose is paramount. Identify what you want from your PC and make sure you have a motherboard to match.
This month we’ve selected a trio of motherboard pairings to suit three popular usage models: small-form factor systems with HTPC capability, overclocking rigs and high-end multi-GPU gaming monsters.
Before we come to the boards in question, what of the seminal AMD or Intel question? Actually, at the moment it’s often not much of a quandary thanks to the feebleness of most of AMD’s processor product range. We’ve said it before, but it’s seriously bad news for the entire PC industry to have AMD struggling to keep Intel honest.
If the much needed 45nm die shrink of the AMD Phenom family of processors doesn’t close the gap significantly, expect to see Intel push up the prices. For now, if performance is a priority, AMD chips are frankly uncompetitive, even at the more affordable end of the spectrum. But throw issues such as power consumption, form factor and HTPC considerations into the mix and it’s a very different story.
For the HTPC-centric category, we’ve therefore turned to a pair of brand new AMD-compatible boards with the latest and most sophisticated integrated chipsets, the GeForce 8200M from NVIDIA and AMD’s 780G. If there’s an Intel-powered alternative that comes close to these two for small-form factor media PC prowess, we’ve yet to see it.
Palit’s N78S and the Gigabyte GA-MA780GM-S2H are both micro-ATX boards with all passive cooling and fancy new DirextX 10 capable integrated CPUs. Indeed, they both represent our first taste of a new take on multi-GPU graphics rendering from NVIDIA and AMD, dubbed ‘Hybrid SLI’ and ‘Hybrid CrossFire’ respectively.
The basic idea behind both is the pairing up of the motherboard’s integrated GPU with a discrete graphics card. But the details diverge enough to make them substantially different propositions.
Pairing Up
Both solutions allow users to boost the performance of an add-in graphics card by running it in multi-GPU mode with the integrated graphics chip. According to claims from both NVIDIA and AMD, the result is a big boost in performance for low-end graphics cards. In practice, it’s an overly complex and inefficient way of achieving barely acceptable 3D performance, but more on that later. Hybrid CrossFire’s abilities more or less end there. The more attractive of the two by far is Hybrid SLI, represented by Palit’s N78S and its NVIDIA GeForce 8200M chipset. That’s because Hybrid SLI cap also act as a power-saving measure for high performance PCs. In this scenario, users can switch between a powerful but noisy and glutinous graphics board and the onboard integrated GPU from within Windows.
There’s no need to reboot or swap monitor cables around. Connect your monitor to the motherboard’s video-out port and allow the NVIDIA driver software to do the rest. That includes completely powering down the add-in GPU and its cooling fan. Clever, eh? Hybrid graphics with DirectX 10 support isn’t the only common feature. These boards also share the honor of sporting the first integrated chipsets to boast full hardware acceleration of all three of the important video codecs, VC-1, AVC and MPEG2. In both cases, this comes courtesy of the latest 2D video engines from NVIDIA and AMD, known as PureVideo HD and UVD. That’s precisely what you need, of course, to guarantee smooth playback of full 1080p Blu-ray discs.
Home HD Motherboards
If these two home cinema-centric boards are remarkably similar, there’s also not much between the P35 pairing we’ve selected for the overclocking showdown. The fact is, Intel’s P35 remains the weapon of choice, if it’s pure CPU speed you’re seeking. Remarkably, that remains the case even with the arrival of NVIDIA’s swanky new 790i, a chipset we suspected might just topple the P35 chipset from its position of king of the overclockers.
It’s not uncommon to see P35 hit bus speeds in excess of 500MHz without the need for hit and miss tweaking of northbridge voltages. Even Intel’s latest X48 chipset typically tends to run out of puff around 475MHz. In that context, attention to detail and execution will separate MSI P35 Platinum from Asus’s trusty P5K3 Deluxe.
But what of high-end motherboard design to form the basis of multi-GPU performance PCs? Until recently, the pickings were a bit thin. Intel’s X38 and X48 chipsets are fine things indeed, in terms of performance. But thanks to NVIDIA’s decision to lock SLI technology down to its own chipsets (unnecessarily in our view), the X38 and X48 only support AMD’s competing CrossFire platform. That meant SLI fans were forced to go with the somewhat substandard NVIDIA 680i or 780i option. But not anymore. NVIDIA is back on form with the 790i. It will be an extremely tight contest for top honors. If that’s the theory behind all these boards, how do they perform in the silicon?
Perhaps the most intriguing motherboards here are the AMD-compatible micro-ATX pair. In concert with a low voltage dual-core Athlon 64 processor they deliver truly spectacular power efficiency. Both of the boards are within spitting distance of 100 watts running at full CPU load and idle around the 50 watt mark.
That’s for a full system with 2GB of RAM, hard disk and optical drive. That represents as little as a quarter of the consumption of a high-end quad-core rig. It also translates into extremely unobtrusive operation that’s a perfect match for a home cinema installation Less impressive is the performance of its much-touted DX10 integrated GPUs, in 3D mode at least. Neither are capable of anything remotely resembling a pleasant gaming experience. And frankly neither pack enough grunt to make the Hybrid dual-GPU option at all attractive.
Where things get more interesting is the contest for home cinema prowess. And that must go to the Gigabyte thanks to its HDMI port and fully driver-supported 2D acceleration core. Add in a low-voltage AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual-core processor and you have a motherboard and CPU combo with full HD capabilities for just $l80.
As for the P35 overclocker’s boards, it is mostly one-way traffic. A result of 520MHz is an impressive bus speed to hit for any Intel-compatible motherboard. The fact that the Asus P5K3 Deluxe can achieve it without any voltage tweaks makes for an extremely user-friendly overclocking platform. You can be confident you’ll get the most out of any CPU with this motherboard.
Our only doubt involves the fact that it’s a DDR3 motherboard. In theory the higher clockspeeds of DDR3 memory should be a boon for overclocking. In practice, a pair of quality DD2 memory DIMMs do the job just tine. Factor in the current utterly ludicrous price of DDR3 memory sticks and the benefits just don’t add up.
Performance per Pound
All of which just leaves just the big ticket X48 and 790i pairing from MSI and Asus respectively. There’s no doubting the all new Striker II Extreme from Asus is a sickeningly desirable thing. Everything from its feature-packed BIOS, to the hardware power and reset buttons and the northbridge heatsink pre-plumbed for water cooling, reek of quality, class and most of all expense.
The 790i chipset also brings NVIDIA’s SLI platform bang up to date with DDR3 and proper PCI Express support, as well as decent overclocking headroom. As good as it is, however, it simply cannot be worth nearly $450. Particularly when it offers less overclocking oomph than Asus’s own sub-$l50 Intel P35 board. The performance advantage of the 790i chipset is far too slender to make any real world difference, too.
The spoils must therefore go to MSI’s X48 platinum. It’s a lean, mean enthusiast board at a sensible price. Yes, it does lock you into AMD’s CrossFire platform in terms of multi-GPU support. But until NVIDIA puts the interests of buyers ahead of its own selfish desires to maximize revenues from SLI chipsets, the perfect multi-GPU platform simply isn’t possible.

Memory Helping Games

Home Bingo Games Past To Present
Does anyone remember the old time bingo games that were played at home with the family? These were the games where the old box with the bingo cards and number sets would come out after a big family dinner on the weekend or at a holiday. Invariably Dad was the caller and he took his place at the head of the table entrusted with all the numbers in a tub. For some reason Dad was the only one ever trusted to call letters in a fair way that ensured the equal treatment of all players despite the sibling rivalry that was always at the forefront of family bingo games.
Home bingo games usually meant an assortment of items for the marking of cards. Many of us will remember using buttons from Grandma’s button jar to mark the numbers on our card. One of the children would invariably want to fish out all the red buttons to use rather than just taking a miscellaneous handful like the rest of us would do. These home versions of the game were a lot of fun until someone upset their card and their buttons went skittering across the table or onto the floor. Anyone who remembers these kinds of bingo games also recalls at least a couple of incidents of someone going to bed crying after such a spill.
Modernizing Bingo
Some families had bingo cards that were not re-useable and they didn’t need to use the button jar to mark their cards. These families were the modern ones who were able to buy the paper cards to play with and then toss away. For these families, bingo games then meant gathering up all the stubby old pencils from every cabinet in the house and then making sure they were all sharpened up for play. These bingo games found family members putting an X through all the numbers that were called until someone had a bingo. The smaller children usually needed a little help with their bingo games and not putting X’s on numbers that hadn’t been called yet. This was a part of the whole scenario and the family game embraced all of it.
Reminiscences and Bingo Memories
Bingo games of the old home variety make a lot of people feel quite nostalgic about the game as a whole in all its forms. While we may be playing quite a different version now that we are online but in our hearts we are still playing the old bingo games around the kitchen table with mismatched buttons. That is part of what makes online bingo games so successful a gaming industry. It is basically the same game and whenever we play bingo, we still have warm memories of it on some level of our consciousness.
The next time you get online for a few bingo games, take a minute to think back to your earliest gaming memories. Who was there? What were the cards like? Chances are that you might think of something or someone you haven’t for a long time. It’s probably a good little trip to make.

Memory Upgrade Macbook Pro 13

what kind of RAM in new 13.3inch MacBook Pro ?
i have the 2.26ghz with 2gb of DDR3 ram, but what im wondering is;
does it have ONE 2GB stick? or TWO 1GB sticks?
Also, I want to upgrade the memory to 4GB. Is $64.99 a good/fair price to upgrade to OWC 4GB PC3-8500 DDR3 1066MHz. it’s for TWO 2GB sticks.
thank you
It has two 1GB sticks. Memory comes in pairs. The stock 2GB is also plenty. Even if you run large programs, you’ll find that 2GB is more than adequate. However, upgrading is never a bad idea, especially when it’s so cheap.
To upgrade RAM, go to NewEgg.com for the best prices. If they can’t beat the $65 price tag then go for it. The 4GB DDR3 1066mhz is excellent and probably much more than you’ll ever need (which is a good thing).
